anyone with experience of a good site in the lakes where you can leave the m home and bus/walk to plenty of local sites/pubs etc?
have been to the lakes before but not in the van, could do with a rest from driving and keep local to the site.
cheers

I stayed in Langdale earlier this year. It is beautiful. Close enough to walk to two good pubs and a hotel restaurant. Ten minutes drive into Ambleside too.
