yes
As in North America, Sega launched the redesigned Sega Master System II in 1990. This system included Alex Kidd in Miracle World, and later Sonic the Hedgehog, as a built-in game.

Thats odd, as I had 3x Master System 2's throughout my childhood, and they all had alex the kidd in miracle world built in, never even saw one with anything else, even all my friends and family that had one had alex the kidd

There is a handheld Master System done by 'Blaze', it has ATK in it.

I only ever had the Master System with Alex the Kidd build in.

According to wikipedia, the late master system models had sonic.

Car boots are probably the best place to find them cheap, if you can find one. You'll pay a bit more on ebay & the postage cost will be quite a bit if it isn't local. The first model had no game built in, most model 2s had Alex Kidd in miracle world, later ones had sonic the hedgehog.

You might find some of the games & maybe a console at Playtime games shop on Pinstone Street.

I will warn you though, lots of modern TV's won't let you play it.. and soon (about another 10 years) no new TV's will be able to as once the analogue signals are all turned off, they will no longer have analogue tuners built in, which will mean you can't 'tune in' the old consoles..

Thankfully though, there are ways of converting them to a composite, or rgb (component) signal...

I'm ok, got a little portable black & white tv (a very old vintage 1 handed to me by my grandad when I was a little nipper), 4 portable tv's 1 21" tv and a 28" widescreen dolby surround sound tv which I'm using now.

IF i ever get a house with an extra bedroom, for my retro gear / records, cds etc i want 3 or so crt tellies so i can have mi computers / consoles set out instead of boxed in the loft, so i can plug in switch on and play

i used to have a small b/w portable that was in my mum and dads house in the kitchen back int he 80s, got rid of it a few years back tho, shouldve kept it now, could run it off a car battery lol

Lol the thing is the only tv's out of tht lot that work is my 28", my 21" which I use wen my brother is on the 28" and the little portable. The black & white one works but I want to preserve its goodness and as a memory of my grandad. Can't get rid of my first ever tv off my grandad.

i know hang on was oneyes there can't have been more than 30 or so. The cards couldn't hold as much info as the carts so they were relatively simple games hence the lack of demand for them

Never did manage to complete Alex The Kidd on the Master system.
Only ever did it once on an emulator on my Xperia Play.
The controllers weren't very precise on the Master System controller.
Alex The kidd in shinobi land was another one of my favorites.
And Black Belt, Did any one play that?
Was really hard to beat that one.

Is yours master system 2 power base?

Does it come up asking which game you want?

When I turn my master system 2 on without a cart in, it come up with sega logo then boots sonic.

I wunt mind gettinng a master system 1, thers more to look at and admire on the 1st one. My master system 2 is bland and boring to look at. Kinda looks cheap & tacky.

There will be revision numbers on them. But to my knowledge, they are all the same, none differ from others.
