I live just off eccy road so within walking or short cab where are the best sunday lunch places there doesnt seem to be any apart from 543 on ecc rd.

Lescar does the BEST sunday lunch EVER!! Although, the pub itself is not to everyones taste...the food however is wonderful, really fresh and tasty and you get loads for a very reasonable price.

Is it a proper one though, thought lescar was a chain pub so i assumed its a microwaved beast with aunt bessies.

You HAVE to go to the toby carvery up eccy rd south.
Its the nicest roast dinner in Sheffield!

Lescar do proper sunday lunch, none of this carvery rubbish where it has been sat under a hot plate for god knows how long.

Its always sod's law with things like this though...you enjoy something/somewhere so much that you decide to tell a few people and then when they go, it turns out rubbish...i hate it when that happens!

i know its a little out but why not go to thyme cafe in broomhill they always have a roast on either pork, lamb or beef with the trimming. my other half usually has it while i opt for other tasty nice food off there menu:thumbsup:

will try there aswell i am a yorkshire girl n we love our proper food don't we!!

Back to the main subject..You could try Seasons - they do three courses for £14.95 and its all very yummy. (i know cos i work there;) ;) )

i hear all bar one are doing sunday lunch now too

Dulo is wicked. Always a nice crowd, good music, handsome, affable landlord...

I like the Lescar as a pub, but last time I ordered food in there, I had to wait nearly two hours, and then had to send it back because it was burnt. Bearing in mind that it was only a toasted sandwich that I'd ordered, I'm not sure I'd trust them with Sunday Lunch...

Get down to Porter Brook, their sunday roasts are superb. I would advise getting there before 1 though as its always packed and have been there a few times and not been able to get a table.

lescar is a great pub.. im always in there but i wouldnt say they do the best sunday lunches ever.. just my opinion i suppose

get yourself down to the broadfield, they do a decent menu, right for

UNDER THREE QUID EACH.

how can you refuse value like that, and it still kinda tastes good too.

Blackamoor Pub on the way to Dronfield does a gorgeous Sunday lunch me and my ex went there quite often, you pay £10 and help yourself.

Carvery at Castle Inn in Bradway is always a winner...

Broadfield - grrr nasty

well i know it aint the prettiest place, and its rather fashionable to slate it, but the grub is cheap and good.

The New Barrack Tavern on the way to Hillsborough, excellent sunday roast, I had one yesterday.

The Old Horns at High Bradfield used to be good but it is a while since I have been there so can't really say if it still is.

Try Bosworths at Bramall Lane - they do Sunday lunches - variations around typical roast. well worth it. menu at bosworths.bramalllane.com
