hi are any of you into classic minis?

I am in so far as I am allowed to look at them at shows, and get models.

Unfortunately not allowed one, apparently it is too much welding and maintenance for him.

I would really like a snap dragon yelllow 1275 GT clubman.

We had a Mini parklane on a D plate a few years ago (well maybe 6 years ago!) It was a nice little motor. Left it stood for 6 months and it still fired up first time, the headlights had fallen out though. Great car wish we never sold it. Ended up selling it to a friend for £50. If only we knew then what we know now. Saw one for sale the other day exactly the same for £2500.

I had a mint 1978 1275 GT back in 1994. It was fun leaving the modern sports cars standing at the time.
I eventually had to sell it to someone who turned it in to a hill climbing car :?

I have an almost classic 1, its a 1981 mini city - bright red and hes called montey although all tucked up in the garage at t mo!

I think you can call that a classic.

I've had two Clubman estates, M and W registered the W was a deluxe export model with walnut dash, tinted windows and plush seats. It did amazing service including camping trips to the Loire. I fitted wing nuts to the seat fittings so i could pop them out to use as camp furniture. I do miss them, the Minis not the seats.

Phylis, I have lost count of the number of conversations I've had about 'if only we'd kept...' That Rover P6 I had was great, I miss the 2CV and the 205 but what the hell I've got three beauties at the moment (and we're looking to move to a house with a garage) My brother in law recently bought back a SW Landy he'd sold 23 years ago, a couple of bodge repairs he'd done to it were still in place and doing the job.

The Fiesta we have at the minute (Phylis) was the first car my boyfriend ever drove whilst learning. It was his mothers at that point, his grandmothers before that. When his sister passed her driving test she had it. She then had 2 kids and was going to sell her for £250 so we saved her. She has a few old bodge jobs that he did many years ago while training to be a panel beater.
