Hi everyone.
Im looking to find out things bout my late Grandad.
He used to sing at a club in Pitsmore Probably in the 50's.
His name was Ernest Hughes.
He made one record and I would love to find it.
I never met my Grandad but wish I had! As I am a singer too.
If anyone could give me any information at all even if only slightly related to what I want to ultimatley find I would greatly appreciate it.

I don't know but there were a few characters about. One I knew sang MULE TRAIN and hit himself on the head with a tray,anybody remember him.

This would most likely have been the Pitsmoor Working mens club or the Pye Bank Road WMC, neither of which remain. Give that, your grandad would have probably worked the south yorkshire wmc clubs circiut so it may pay you to have a dig around the agencies?
