been a while since i bought a new DualShock 3 controller for my PlayStation 3. but now they have ditched the blister packing and now use a carboard packaging with a plastic insert. also the controllers are no longer a glossy black, they are now a sort of matte black (charcoal grey on the box) and feel a lot better as they seem grippy.

the analogue sticks feel better quality as do the clicks of them.

really liking the matte black finish.

anyone else bought a new DS3 recently?

They changed when the ps3 slim came out as that's a matte finish.

Strange, my brothers slim came with a glossy one.

Hmmm not sure then :huh: I know Sony are trying to combat the fakes from china. A guy was selling them on here as genuine ones until I pointed out that the colour he was selling was never made by Sony.

Like a crappy gold/bronze colour. The packaging was very convincing identical to actual Sony ones.

Haha I always read up on stuff like that if I am going to buy one from an unknown place. I did it when I imported my ceramic white DS3 from china. Luckily mine was real.

I've got this new matte black style one off shopto so I kno its genuine.
