View Full Version : Is the Czech Republic in Europe? Unbelievable 02-04-2006, 19:22 hi, ive sold a jumper on ebay and the buyer is from Czech Republic, so i was wondering will the item be charged at europe rate or international. This way i can have an idea of how much to charge. thankyou Old_Bloke 02-04-2006, 19:27 You need to check on the Royal Mail (http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/jump2?mediaId=400033&catId=400023) website to see which countries are covered by which rates. LordChaverly 02-04-2006, 19:35 It is of course in Europe. In fact Prague is farther to the West than Vienna. Its also in the European Union, so the international rates you refer to should not apply. Nor should you need to pay duties on Czech goods (or vice versa) as the CR is part of the European Single Market. thenewborn 02-04-2006, 19:53 i think you should buy an atlas muddycoffee 02-04-2006, 20:11 I think Czech rep counts as an emerging "new european member" along with Hungary and Poland when you come back into UK from there, there are higher restrictions on how much booze and tobacco you can bring back. So it's worth double checking and not just assuming things are the same as the established european countries and those in the euro zone.
