Just looked on eBay and the cheapest is £10.99 for an unlock code so, if you were wanting to get this done in town - I would expect that you'd have to pay more than that.

As with alot of phones network lock and changing the roms etc are not connected. Change the rom and ts still network locked.

I did find this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23103648&postcount=24) but no one has verified the keypad combo works..... Worth a try! :D

Also try or try this way (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1204705&highlight=network+lock) to get the phones unlock code.

I would buy a code online - that's all they will do in town, except they'll add a tenner on to the price for you.

you can try this, worked for us with my partners old phone, just download the app from google market, make sure your ace is rooted and you have what it needs installed,

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.helroz.galaxyaceunlock#?t=W251bGwsM SwxLDIxMiwiY29tLmhlbHJvei5nYWxheHlhY2V1bmxvY2siXQ. .

it may brick your phone if you dont use it properly.. so be careful..
