Anyone ever been to the blues festival which is gracing this city of ours at the Weekend?

Looking for previous feedback and/ or insight as me and my mates might go

The Philadelphia Blues walkabout is next weekend, 30th April to 2nd May. Basically about 9 pubs are taking part, each will have a different band on and different beers, you do a crawl round them all and see different bands and drink different beers.

Easiest way of doing it is a combination of tram and 53 bus.

Get the the tram to langsett road for the Hillsborough Hotel bar, then back on to Bamforth Street and walk down the hill to the New Barracks Tavern. From there get the 53 bus to the Fairfield Tavern, then back on the bus (or walk) round to the Gardeners Rest. and from there either hop on the bus again or walk to the Riverside Cafe bar. From the Riverside walk round the corner to the Fat Cat, across to the Kelham Island Tavern.

To return back into town you can then walk to Shalesmoor tram stop, or retrace your steps to the Riverside for the 53 bus.

(or even walk).

I didn't know about this, love the blues, luckily I got to go to the ultimate blues on Sunday at the arena - Eric Clapton. :)
