View Full Version : How boring are you?
RunningFree 30-03-2006, 10:09 How boring are you? What do yo get up to in your time?
I hold down three jobs, two of them that I do more for fun - that is the Territorial Army (Infantry Soldier), and SUFC Search and eject. I also go to the Gym alot and go running a fair bit coz I have to get alot fitter than I am currently . Make sure I get out and go to the put at least once a week. Spend sundays normally hung-over.
Always up for a laugh - Rides, bungee jumps etc etc.
Would you say I'm boring.
Lone Wolf 30-03-2006, 10:17 You sound like quite an active guy. I doubt I would have the stamina to keep up with you.
Bungee jumping? ooh I hate hights they give me vertigo. well done on your achievements I dont think you are boring at all. I quite admire you.
Ahh he didnt mention getting ****** when the blades reach promotion.

Sorry what was that matey?
I work full-time, go to the normal gym 3 or 4 times a week, try to go boxing and/or Thai boxing when I can (more boxing lately), go on 2 or 3 lads holidays a year, get hammered twice a week and generally try to keep myself active
RunningFree 30-03-2006, 10:29 Although what i put down it make me sound like I am super fit and got sixpack and everything but I haven't, I still have a little beer belly - for now anyway!:hihi:
What has boring got to do with activity?
I admire you for being so enterprising but how do you know you are not boring? I'm not saying you are boring, just questioning your method of measuring it.
I thought boring was more an attitude of mind. Some people can be most unfit but very good company, others can bore you stiff. .
Surely the measure of boredom is whether other people seek out your company.

F. Sidebottom 30-03-2006, 12:14 A measure of how boring you are could be based on wether you have to seek answers to personal questions via a website.
If you are not boring, you should have things called 'Friends' to ask questions like this to.
If you are boring, try going online and asking if you are boring.
Up the Owls!

crookesey 30-03-2006, 15:51 Anyone want to see my anorak collection?
evildrneil 30-03-2006, 15:54 Not boring enough to have to start threads like this to make myself look interesting?
Swan_Vesta 30-03-2006, 16:00 Extremely boring. I spend most of my time a) Working b) Sleeping C)Eating.
If I'm not here then I'm trying to lose my blubber down the gym. Most of my life revolves around me and our lass, my work and my family.
The long and short of it is that I could bore the spirit of Richard Whitely back into his body and have him presenting Countdown by the time the week's out,

Do I detect a bit of jelousy, no need to be. I'm mentally ill and I find it hard to leave the house as i'm so paranoid, so walking in graves park is a huge milestone for me. So now you see my lifes not so cushty, so I suggest you do a bit of backgroung info before you start your "Your I pay taxes rubbish".

Seeing as there wasn't much interest in Origami I thought it would be nice if Sheffield F had it's own Crochet club.
Aynoe else interested?
Now that's exciting:D
I'm far too boring for this thread, I'd need my own thread on just how boring it's possible to be....
CherryNicole 31-03-2006, 12:32 I find myself entertaining enough to enjoy my own company, and I have very high standards so I don't think I could possibly be boring :D
It's never a dull day in the maze of my mind

First off sorry to here about your problems. However it's silly to expect me to do background checks on everyone I reply to - the only postings/threads I remembered your ID from were ones about you needing money quickly for a bond and wanting a tatoo. So forgive me my image of you wasn't the best.
Sadly your atitude means it hasn't improved now...
LotarsU1 31-03-2006, 13:29 This one time at band camp...

i must be very boring no one relies to my messages on this forum
Yep, I'd agree with the comment about boring being subjective.
Me ? Well, my days are pretty boring now, cos I'm jobless, and I do stay indoors most of the time. But when I was employed, I did lead an active life, but where did it lead ? Nowhereville.
Going out, isn't end all, and be all. To me, it's a case of quality time now with friends and families. Done the 'drink til I die' stage of my life. Done the Quarter-life crisis thing, of burning myself out every weekend. Travel up and down the country to see old uni mates and club til I die. No thank you now.
Do something cos u want to, and not cos it's 'expected' of you. Well, that's me, but I'm sure the OP is different to me. So... how can u compare one with the other ?
OP: u do sound like an active guy. Ever thought about doing something out of the blue like climbing the Everest base camp or walking outdoors, or jump across the Adam and Eve bit in Tryfan (?) Doing something repetitive is good for a bit, but I bet you that you'd get bored at one point or another.
johnbradley 31-03-2006, 19:55 i work. make music, get bladdered and eat kebabs. occasionally i meet friends, and sometimes pull.
op ? yes, boring, definately. me ? probably, but then, if we were all so interesting we probably wouldnt be tapping away on this load of bobbins would we?
I'm not half as boring as my online persona would have you believe. ;)
I'm not half as boring as my online persona would have you believe. ;)
Me neither...
And knitting isn't boring. :hihi:
I dont' get it ,what's fun about getting ******.I don't really see the point in makeing yourself ill and paying for the pleasure. That is really boring.
Boring? Hell no - beneath the mild mannered affable exterior lurks a passionate, exciting, free spirited, thoroughly reckless individual...who has a secret life that positively fizzes with mad dreams and secret longings.
I'm rediscovering some of life's greatest pleasures as if they were newly minted. Life is a river and I want to dive in.
Naked.
lizzmobile 31-03-2006, 22:33 Well, I'm just the dullest person on earth, and so's my wife.

life is all about experience, my straight-edged friend.
some of the finest moments of my life have taken place when i have been 'altered', either spiritually, sexually, narcotically or alcoholically.
people who harp on about it though, and think that those who choose a different path suck, are boring.
each to their own, i have spent months straight-edge, for the very reason you flag up in your reply. i reckon it is possible to have important experiences with AND without these 'extras'.
just at the moment getting wrecked appeals to me!
hey, perhaps next month i get back on the wagon:)

Whats so bad about needing money for a bond and asking if people had any ideas and also about wanting a tattoo. Pretty normal questions I think most people would agree, go take your problems out on someone who actually gives a dam
honeybee 01-04-2006, 13:45 I think my life is pretty boring. I tend to get up go to work then go to college two nights a week. The other nights I get in from work cook the tea and then either go on the computer or do college work. Weekends tend to be college work and cleaning and going on the computer.
Hey,John Bradley.
I appreciate what your saying and for the record i have been there - done that and got the t-shirt to prove it .But there comes a time when you have to say it aint cool wakeing up in a pile of puke good luck.
johnbradley 01-04-2006, 17:04 fair comment mate:)
tbh, that time doesnt feel too distant for me either!
I dont' get it ,what's fun about getting ******.I don't really see the point in makeing yourself ill and paying for the pleasure. That is really boring.
I just think that it's a stage people go through. Self exploration and all that.
I still remember a lot of good drinking stories.
Just that in the UK, we place drink on the top of that list. I've been there, done that too... and you cannot recapture or recreate those moments again. When you're young, and enjoy the freedom of youth. Having that 'don't give a darn' attitude. It's quite liberating actually. :)
Though when I realised that my body cannot hack the drinks any more, or that it aches too much when I dance, and that you don't get the same vibe as when you're young. It's time to move on and try something new.

Says who? I do it for a living!
